Do I really need a mentor?
I have a question: Do I really need a mentor??
Students who meet regularly with their mentors are 52% less likely than their peers to skip a day of school and 37% less likely to skip a class. Youth who meet regularly with their mentors are 46% less likely than their peers to start using illegal drugs and 27% less likely to start drinking. (youthmentor.org)
So, yes every young person, in fact every person should have a form of mentorship that can create powerful impact to their lives. This Thursday at 6:30pm (EST) on Faith To Move Forward you will hear from Dante Harmon, Lisa Stephens, and Diane Hodge these sought after mentors will speak about their organizations and their process of engaging life skills into a mentorship platform that is producing successful young people.
